Preschool Program (2 - 5 years)
Our curriculum is framed by theory and philosophy of life. It is led by faith and grounded in evidence-based practices. Our curriculum is developmentally based and uses a Thematic Approach to learning. This is enhanced by integrating Art, Music, Movement, Literature, Pre-Reading, Math, Language Development, Science, Social Studies and Multi-Sensory Experiences. Children learn by doing! Classrooms are arranged into interest areas that give children options for making decisions on where and how they want to learn and explore. This approach is supported by established early childhood learning models and current brain research. Learning activities alternate with indoor and outdoor play periods every day, weather permitting.
We are also proud to announce that as part of our curriculum Romp n' Roll Mobile will come to our center once per week to provide 45 minutes of physical education for your child. This fun filled class incorporates aerobics, sports skills, tumbling, dance, relays, games, puppet shows and music while teaching children to cooperate in a group setting.
Each child develops at their own pace and we encourage communication between staff members and parents on the progress of their child. In addition to daily reports, classroom news and monthly newsletters we schedule parent/teacher conferences in both the fall and the spring. Additional conferences can be scheduled at a mutually convenient time if a teacher or parent feels it would be beneficial for the child. We invite parents to visit us, ask questions and make suggestions to help us make this a successful experience for their child.
