Infant and Todder Program (6 weeks - 16 mos.)

Our infant program provides quality care in a loving and nurturing environment.  Safety and health are top priorities at Good Shepherd Child Development Center.

We have separate rooms for babies, one for young infants and the other for older infants who are beginning to crawl.  Infants in our program are assigned a primary caregiver so he can build a sense of security and trust.  Our caregivers are sensitive to each baby’s needs.  They recognize each baby’s personal rhythm, style, strengths and limitations which allows them to tune in and provide individualized care and experiences.

Our infant and toddler program is based on the predictable sequences of normal infant development in the areas of motor skills, language and communication, cognition and socialization.  Although each child develops at their own rate they all progress through similar stages of development.  Our caregivers reinforce these basic stages of development by talking and singing, playing with and responding to your child.

Our caregivers are certified in CPR and First Aid and have knowledge and experience in caring for infants.
